Tamera Mowry-Housley Turns to Twin Sister’s Breast Milk When Sick
When TV personality and The Real cohost Tamera Mowry-Housley recently found herself under the weather, she didn’t rush to the pharmacy for over-the-counter remedies. Instead, she turned to a unique home remedy—one that only her twin sister, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, could provide. In an Instagram video, Tamera, 40, was seen sipping on a cup of her sister's breast milk, claiming it was hands down "the best milk" she'd ever tried. In the video, Tamera couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming, “Oh my gosh, Tia, this is amazing!” She went on to rave about how her sister's breast milk was the best she'd ever tasted. Tia, also 40, shared the same clip on her Instagram account, noting that this wasn’t the first time Tamera had indulged in this unconventional cure. Why Breast Milk for Healing?
Tia captioned the video with an explanation: “Soooo, my sister is desperate for some healing. She’s sicky poo and I sent her an article on how breast milk has healing properties and was okay with drinking my #breastmilk. Ps, she’s had some before and I mean, she’s my twin.” Now, while this may raise some eyebrows, it’s worth noting that breast milk is packed with nutrients, antibodies, and other goodies that can indeed benefit adults. But hey, it’s not for everyone, right?
Unbreakable Twin Bond
Though drinking breast milk might sound like an extreme move, it’s a testament to the unshakable bond between these twin sisters. In a previous interview with People, Tia opened up about their closeness, crediting their children with keeping them connected. “No matter how busy we get or how we have our separate lives with our separate families, we have children that really bring us together,” she said. The twins’ kids are so close they practically act like siblings, which is a beautiful way to keep the family unit tight-knit.
Tia is a proud mom to her two kids, Cree Hardrict, 7, and Cairo Hardrict, 9 months, with her husband, Cory Hardrict. Likewise, Tamera shares two children with her husband, Adam Housley: their 6-year-old son, Aden Housley, and their 3-year-old daughter, Ariah Housley. These adorable little ones are the glue that holds the Mowry family together, ensuring that despite their busy lives, Tia and Tamera remain as close as ever.
