That really bothered me. I was still trying to figure out who this guy really was.” Despite her initial reservations, something clicked between them. In fact, he once confessed that he felt "caged" and "trapped" by the show’s demands. “Breaking out of that has been liberating,” he told Cowboys & Indians last December. “TV was a funny thing for me. I’m an authentic, sincere person. But the more staged or required something became, the more it boxed me in. Jo and I just couldn’t figure it out.”
