Looks like Jesse Metcalfe has stepped into the spotlight to defend Meghan Markle. At the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Winter 2019 TCA event on February 10, the Desperate Housewives star opened up about his long-standing friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, saying they’ve known each other for "many years." Jesse wasn't shy about addressing the relentless negativity surrounding Meghan, particularly the drama with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton and the attacks from her own father.
In a candid moment with Entertainment Tonight, Jesse, who’s no stranger to the spotlight himself, chimed in, saying, "Obviously, the news is filled with all these negative stories. She just has crazy trolls and stuff, but hey, you know, screw the haters! Who cares?" He went on to emphasize how lovely Meghan truly is, reminding everyone not to lose sight of her genuine nature amid the chaos.

Jesse couldn’t help but gush about Meghan’s pregnancy with her first royal baby with Prince Harry, calling it "amazing." He added, “I think it’s awesome.” Despite his fondness for his pal Meghan, Jesse admitted that the Duchess probably won’t be receiving an invite to his upcoming wedding to fiancée Cara Santana. “I don’t think we’d probably invite her,” he confessed. “That would really turn our wedding into a spectacle, wouldn’t it?”

Meghan and Harry’s Influence on Jesse's Wedding Plans
Even though the royal couple won’t be making an appearance at his big day, Jesse revealed that Meghan and Harry might have inspired him and Cara to consider London as their possible wedding destination. “We were considering that, and I guess we still are considering it, because SoHo house has a property there that’s amazing in the English countryside,” he explained. “We’ve had a lot of great times in London, so it’s a place that’s sort of near and dear to our hearts, but it’s sort of a random location, really.”
