Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Her Early Days in Entertainment
Before Jennifer Lopez became a household name with her iconic role in the 1997 film Selena, she was a dancer on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. You might think performing in front of millions of viewers would be terrifying, but Jennifer, now 49, revealed in a recent interview that being in the spotlight as a young dancer made her feel invincible. "I think I was pretty fearless," she told Entertainment Tonight while promoting the third season of her reality competition show World of Dance. "When you're younger, you just don't think about the consequences. Ignorance really is bliss."
She elaborated on her mindset back then: "You don't worry about things like, 'What if I mess up? What if I fall on my face and it scars me for 10 years?' Those thoughts don't even cross your mind. You just go for it, and that's what I did." Jennifer's fearless attitude helped her navigate the early stages of her career and set the foundation for the mega-star she is today.
Judging the Best Dancers in the World
Jennifer has been a judge on World of Dance since the show premiered in May 2017, and she's had a blast being part of it. However, she admitted that she probably wouldn't have made it far in the competition when she first started her career. "I'd like to think I could have won, but I don't think I could," she confessed. "I don't think I would have made it very far here." Jennifer's journey as a dancer has been a long and rewarding one, and she's learned so much along the way.
