It seems like Prince Harry has a knack for turning everyday moments into unforgettable experiences. On Monday, March 11, as he and Meghan Markle were leaving Canada House in London, they stumbled upon a group of young Canadian boys eagerly waiting on the staircase for a chance to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. These kids were brimming with excitement, and Harry decided to make their day even more memorable.
As the enthusiastic royal fans waved goodbye, Harry, at 34 years young, couldn’t resist the opportunity to serenade the youngsters with a playful rendition of “So Long, Farewell,” a timeless tune from the beloved Sound of Music. In this iconic scene, the von Trapp children perform the song while lined up on a staircase, much like the young Canadians Harry encountered. The impromptu musical moment, caught on camera by ITV’s Lizzie Robinson, had the crowd in stitches. Meghan, 37, couldn’t help but beam with pride as she glanced over at her charming husband. Check out the delightful video of Harry’s spontaneous performance below!

Harry’s Love for the Arts Shines Through
This isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed Prince Harry’s flair for the arts. Last summer, the ginger-haired royal and Meghan surprised an audience during a performance of the smash-hit Broadway musical Hamilton. Standing confidently on stage, Harry delivered a speech surrounded by the talented cast. Midway through, he broke into song, belting out “You’ll Be Back,” a track famously performed in the musical by a character portraying his sixth great-grandfather, King George III.
Harry clearly didn’t miss a beat as he sang with gusto. His wife, the former Suits star, gave fans a glimpse into Harry's deep appreciation for the show. “We saw it back in January or February and thought it was incredible,” Meghan revealed to Rachel John, an actress from the London version of the Broadway hit. “Harry loved it, it was the first time he saw it, and now he can’t stop singing the songs!”

Meghan’s Artistic Side: A Legacy in the Making
While Meghan might not be a singer, she’s no stranger to the stage. In fact, the soon-to-be mom is a firm believer in the power of the arts to unite people from diverse backgrounds and communities. This belief was highlighted during her first official visit to The National Theatre. Her office shared in a statement, “Meg is a strong advocate for using the arts to bring people together. This visit will explore the theatre's work, meeting some of the talented teams and apprentices working behind the scenes.” It’s fascinating to imagine if Baby Sussex will inherit this love for the arts, perhaps developing a passion for singing or dancing. Only time will tell!
