Here’s a side of Bruce Willis you might not know about. Sure, he's a global action star who’s taken on countless baddies on the big screen, but when the cameras stop rolling, he’s just a dad having a blast with his kids. And according to his wife, Emma Heming Willis, the action hero is all about fun and games when it comes to family life. Let’s dive into what Emma shared in a recent interview about their 10-year marriage and their lively family dynamic.
Emma Heming Willis Opens Up About Family Life
In a candid interview with The Local Moms Network, Emma, 40, opened up about her husband Bruce, 63, and what it’s like raising their two daughters together. Emma painted a picture of a family life filled with laughter and adventure. “My husband is the ultimate fun guy,” Emma said with a smile. “He’s always been this way. He’s incredibly calm and takes life as it comes. Bruce is amazing to me because I’m the complete opposite. I move faster, I multitask, but Bruce? He’s all about enjoying the moment.”

The Dad Who Knows How to Have Fun
When it comes to parenting, Bruce takes the lead in making sure there’s plenty of fun in their household. “Bruce is the one building snowmen, sledding down hills, and jumping into the pool with the kids,” Emma explained. “He’s the rough-and-tumble dad who loves to get down and dirty with the kids. He doesn’t really know how to discipline, and that’s okay. That’s where I come in with my mom look — you know, the one that says, ‘Hey, it’s time to settle down.’ The kids adore their dad, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Building a Blended Family That Works
Bruce and Emma tied the knot in 2009, and from the start, Emma says she felt like part of the family. Bruce’s daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore — Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah — have embraced Emma and her daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, with open arms. “What’s incredible about our family is how well it all works,” Emma said. “I’ve heard horror stories about blended families, but I’ve been lucky. Bruce’s daughters are amazing, and they’ve welcomed Mabel and Evelyn with such love. It’s not always perfect, but overall, it’s a pretty golden situation.”

Stepdaughters and Sisters: A Bond That Evolves
Emma also shared how her stepdaughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, have become incredible big sisters to Mabel and Evelyn. “When I first met Bruce, Tallulah was just 12, and now she’s 25. Rumer’s 30, and they’ve grown into these amazing women. The bond we share has evolved over the years. It’s not always smooth sailing, but for the most part, we’re a pretty golden family. I’m so lucky to have them in my life.”
