Bradley Cooper And Lady Gaga Steal The Spotlight At The Oscars

Alright, let’s talk about something that’s been buzzing in Hollywood. Fans are up in arms about one particular snub at this year’s Academy Awards. Despite the incredible success of A Star is Born, which snagged a Best Picture nomination, Bradley Cooper didn’t get the nod for Best Director. But guess what? Bradley himself isn’t too worried about it. He’s got his sights set on something else: performing live with Lady Gaga at the Oscars. They're set to belt out their Oscar-nominated song, “Shallow.”

When asked about the performance, Bradley told E! News, “I think we’re going to do it, but I’m sure I’ll be terrified.” Now, keep in mind, this guy recently joined Gaga on stage during her Las Vegas residency to perform the same song. And even though he nailed it, he admits, “That was terrifying. I just had to zen out and pray I wasn’t going to ruin her show. Think about it—she crushed it for two hours. All I could think was, ‘Please, let me just be on pitch.’”

Bradley and Gaga: The Impact of Creating Something Extraordinary

The journey of making A Star is Born continues to resonate with both Bradley, who’s now 44, and Lady Gaga, who’s 32. Gaga has expressed her deep connection to the film. “So much of this film resonates with me still. I think a lot of people relate to the themes, and the story is something profound to them. The music really tells this love story—it’s something we all took very seriously and believed in. We all saw Bradley’s vision and wanted, to the very last second, to make it just perfect,” she shared.

Bradley took a moment to reflect on the process of creating the film. “One thing I’ve learned is that when you’re creating any kind of art, if you’re in the moment, you trust your instincts but can be flexible too, and you can make something that might shift someone’s way of looking at their world a little bit,” he said. “And when your whole crew goes there with you? That’s a wonderful feeling. Everyone trusted my vision, and that was exhilarating. It gave me the confidence to tackle that daunting task every day.”

He continued, “This has been a three-year journey, and the experience has been absolutely amazing. If I’m lucky enough that anybody allows me to do it again, yeah, I absolutely would. There’s a line in the film that Jack says to Ally, ‘If there’s one reason we’re supposed to be here, it’s to say something so people want to hear it.’ I hope that’s what we’ve done.”

And let’s be honest, we’re sure the audience is going to want to hear the two of them sing live on Oscar night, February 24.
