“So adorable! I do think she looks like you, Barbra,” one fan wrote in the comments. “You’ve been music to our lives for years, so glad Westlyn can be music to yours,” another gushed. The love and admiration for Barbra are evident in every comment, showing just how much she means to her fans not only as an entertainer but as a person.
Barbra’s Journey to Becoming a Grandma
Barbra first announced the arrival of her first grandchild, Westlyn, on November 5, 2018. Her stepson, Josh Brolin, and his wife, Kathryn Boyd, welcomed the little bundle of joy, making Barbra a proud grandma for the first time. She shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “We’re so happy to welcome Westlyn into the world!” Barbra has been married to Josh’s father, James Brolin, since 1998, and their union has clearly brought immense joy to both families.
Before finding love with James, Barbra was married to actor Elliot Gould from 1963 to 1971. After more than 17 years apart, fate brought her back to love when she met James in the late '90s. They tied the knot on the second anniversary of their blind date, and two decades later, Barbra and James, now 78, are still going strong. “If you look at Cancer and Taurus — almost every time, it says, ‘You guys are magic together,’” James once told FOX News. “‘You’re so opposite that you’re able to work it out.’ And that’s what makes a great team.”

Throughout their two decades together, Barbra and James have learned the importance of compromise in their relationship. “We’re both very good negotiators,” James, who was married twice before meeting Barbra, explained. “She sees a color that’s one shade, and I say, ‘No, it’s another color.’ And then we’re able to negotiate around it.”

Barbra admitted that it’s not always easy, but they’ve found a way to make it work. “One day, I fall in love with my husband again, and the next day I’m mad at him,” she told Nine.com.au in October 2018. “But we’ve learned how to overcome obstacles together. We used to have arguments over things, but now we don’t. It’s more about kindness and acceptance.” Their love story is truly inspiring, showing that even the strongest relationships require effort and understanding.
