Who says you need to be an adult to run a meeting? Baby Crew Gaines, the youngest addition to the Gaines family, might not even be a year old, but he’s already showing signs of leadership. On February 21, Joanna Gaines, co-founder of Magnolia, shared a series of delightful videos on Instagram that captured her 8-month-old son stealing the spotlight during a work meeting. It’s clear that Crew is already learning the ropes of the family business—though his methods are a bit unconventional!
In the first clip Joanna shared, little Crew can be seen seated on a table between two adults, sucking contentedly on his pacifier while clapping his hands in an adorable fashion. Joanna, who is a mom of five and turning 40 this year, couldn’t help but narrate her son’s actions as if he were running the meeting. “‘Yes! I love that idea!’ – Crew, CEO,” she wrote, as her son sported a cute gray hooded onesie adorned with large buttons down the front. These moments are a testament to how Crew is already making his presence known, even in the professional world of the Gaines family. Take a look at these heartwarming videos below!
From Meeting Room to Boardroom: Crew’s Natural Leadership Skills

As the meeting continued, Crew seemed to grow less interested in the proceedings. In the next video, he’s seen aimlessly looking around while holding his feet, clearly unbothered by the conversation happening around him. Joanna captioned this clip with a laugh: “‘Ok let’s wrap this meeting up, I’ve got places to be.’ – Crew.” By the final clip, it was evident that Crew had reached his limit. “‘Bla bla bla … this meeting is killin’ me.’ – Crew,” Joanna humorously wrote, capturing the essence of her son’s impatience.

Is Crew Destined to Lead Magnolia?

It seems like Crew might be following in his parents’ footsteps, as this wasn’t the first time he’d crashed a meeting. Back in November, when Crew was just four months old, Joanna shared a sweet photo of the two of them at work. She labeled her son as the “Future CEO,” showing him happily playing in his baby bouncer. With Chip, 44, and Joanna running a multi-faceted empire, the idea of Crew one day becoming a CEO isn’t far-fetched at all. After all, leadership runs in the family!
Expanding the Magnolia Empire: A New Coffee Shop on the Horizon

As the Gaines family continues to grow both personally and professionally, their business ventures keep expanding. Recently, Joanna revealed exciting news about their latest project—a new coffee shop! “I can confirm that we will be breaking ground on our newest project, a coffee shop, early next month—our tentative plan is to open by year’s end,” said Magnolia spokesman John Marsicano. While the official name of the coffee shop hasn’t been announced yet, the couple is eager to share more details soon. With Chip and Joanna also returning to television with their own network, the Gaineses are sure to have their hands full as they balance work and raising their growing family.
