Comedian Kevin Nealon knows how to make an impression, especially when it comes to his personal life. The 65-year-old actor shares an exclusive story with Closer Weekly about how he won over actress Susan Yeagley, his future wife. "We were sitting in the makeup room of a show, and I casually asked, ‘Can a single guy adopt a baby?’" Kevin recalls. Susan, 48, initially thought it was either the worst or the best pickup line ever. It turned out to be the best. Even though she declined a date that night, claiming she had to get up early, she secretly ended things with her on-again, off-again boyfriend. Later, she called her mom and declared, "I just met the man I’m going to marry."
Kevin's life has been filled with lucky breaks, from his impressive nine-season stint on Saturday Night Live to his unforgettable role on Weeds. Now, he continues to charm audiences with his role on CBS's Man With a Plan. It's been quite the journey for this beloved comic actor.

How Was Your Performance?
Kicking off the evening with a bang, Kevin's performance at the KAABOO Cayman festival was nothing short of spectacular. "Tonight went great," he says enthusiastically. "I was thrilled to come here because I had such a blast at the KAABOO festival in DelMar, California, last summer. I wish I could stay longer, but it was unforgettable!"
What's Next for Kevin?
Kevin has his hands full with exciting projects. Alongside Man with a Plan with Matt LeBlanc, he's diving into more stand-up comedy. He also hosts a YouTube series called Hiking With Kevin, where he treks with a different celebrity each week. Guests have included the likes of Conan O’Brien, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson. This summer, he plans to direct two short films he's written—dark comedies that promise to be both intriguing and hilarious.

What Was the Best Job You've Ever Had?
Picking the best job of his career isn't easy for Kevin. However, performing on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson stands out as a thrilling moment. "It was such a roller-coaster ride because I was so fresh in the business," he reminisces. "But I'm incredibly proud of my work on SNL, Weeds, and Man With a Plan. Each one brought its own unique challenges and rewards."

Do You Keep in Touch With Any Costars?
Kevin cherishes the friendships he's built over the years. "Dana Carvey is a great friend," he says. "I bump into David Spade occasionally. From Weeds, I recently saw Justin Kirk, and I chat with Hunter Parrish every now and then. I even caught up with Mary Louise Parker last year."
Any Regrets About Projects You Didn't Do?
Kevin reflects on a missed opportunity that could have changed his career trajectory. "When I first moved to Los Angeles, I auditioned for a sitcom role. I had five callbacks, and I thought I had it in the bag. Turns out, they were looking for someone older. It was Sam Malone from Cheers—Ted Danson’s part!"
What's the Funniest Heckler Moment?
Kevin shares hilarious stories from his stand-up gigs. "One time in Denver, I joked about a prosthetic leg, and someone actually threw theirs on stage! It landed with a big thud, standing upright with socks and a hiking boot. I joked, 'Whoever threw their leg here, hop up and get it,' but no one admitted to it. Another time, a giant rat crawled onto the stage. The audience freaked out, and people were jumping on their tables like they were in a disaster movie. It was chaos, but everyone thought it was a prop!"
