At the time, she was in the middle of a major tour, and she had a team of people depending on her for their livelihoods. “We were on tour, and I had a lot of people on my payroll. We had these three months set aside to do the movie, but then they got behind schedule and said, ‘No, we’re going to have to move it to this time,’” the 63-year-old country music superstar explained. “We just couldn’t reschedule all the arenas and everything.”

Even though it was tough to turn down such a big opportunity, Reba knew she had to prioritize her responsibilities. “You’ve got to take care of your people,” she emphasized.
