Listen up, folks. If there's one person who knows the drill when it comes to juggling motherhood and keeping a house in check, it’s Hilaria Baldwin. At just 35 years old, this powerhouse mom is raising four kids under the age of five, co-hosting a popular podcast called Mom Brain with Daphne Oz, and maintaining her relationship with her husband Alec Baldwin. Whew! That’s a tall order, right? But despite the chaos, Hilaria admits she sometimes feels like her head might just spin off. So, how does she keep it all together?
Hilaria's got some tricks up her sleeve, and they're worth paying attention to. Recently, she spilled the beans to Architectural Digest about how she keeps her house tidy and organized. "We’ve set up a playroom with a Pottery Barn shelving unit," she explained. "You know, especially when I'm pregnant, I go through this crazy nesting phase where I want everything perfectly organized. I'll put all the phones in one basket, all the cars in another, but guess what? The kids will just mix it all up again. So, I’ve realized that while we can have order, we also need to accept that there’s a designated play area where all the chaos happens, and that’s okay."

Creating a Happy Household: Childproofing is Key
Now, let’s talk about the reality of wrangling four little ones. Hilaria admits that keeping all her kids—Carmen Gabriela, 5, Rafael Thomas, 3, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 2, and Romeo Alejandro David, 9 months—in one playroom isn’t always feasible. That’s where her next tip comes in: childproofing. "I’m a big believer in not stressing the kids out," she said. "So, all our furniture is covered with washable fabrics. It’s so relaxing because, let’s face it, your kids are going to color on the couch and spill things. I don’t want it to be this big, end-of-the-world drama every time something happens."
Decorating with Kids in Mind
Hilaria’s also thoughtful when it comes to decorating her home. "I try not to have sharp corners," she revealed. "I’ve got an ottoman made of fabric instead of a coffee table because, honestly, coffee tables are just waiting to cut up your kids. My kids are upside down, climbing all over the furniture, and as long as they’re aware of what they’re doing, I let them do it. It’s all about creating a safe space where they can be themselves."

Interestingly, Hilaria never imagined her life would turn out this way. "When I was growing up, I didn’t think I wouldn’t become a mom, but having a big family wasn’t something I focused on," she confessed in an interview with Parents. "But then I met Alec when I was 27, and by the time I was 28, I was pregnant. It all happened so fast!"
The Moment Everything Changed
For Hilaria, everything shifted the moment her first child, Carmen, was born. "At that time, I thought, ‘Oh, I’ll just start with one,’ and I was worried," she recalled. "I didn’t know if I’d even like being a mom. But as soon as Carmen was born, I was like, ‘Oh, my God. I want to do it again.’ I had just delivered her, my feet were still in the stirrups, and I told Alec right then and there. It’s like magic, you know?"
