The reboot's next season is set to premiere on March 16, but Genevieve won't be part of it.
So, what’s the deal? Well, it turns out Genevieve had a scheduling conflict. “I had another series already lined up during the same time they were planning to shoot Trading Spaces. It’s just a matter of timing,” the 44-year-old designer explained. Interestingly, this other project is still under wraps—it’s a “top secret” endeavor that Genevieve revealed will debut on Bravo in 2019. Talk about keeping fans on the edge of their seats!

Even though Genevieve is tied up with another project, she insists there’s no bad blood about not being part of this season of Trading Spaces. “Let me tell you something, these people are my friends and family. We always have each other’s backs, but we all have our own careers to manage,” she shared. Genevieve originally joined the show from 2000 to 2003, took a break, and then returned from 2005 to 2007. We can’t do it without you.’ And I cried too,” Genevieve recalled. “We’re connected forever. She’s the mama bear,” she added with emotion.

When asked if she’d consider coming back for a third season of the reboot, her response was nothing short of enthusiastic. “Absolutely available. Absolutely. There’s no way anyone would ever say no.
