Hey there, let me tell you something interesting. While discussing his Netflix series The Kominsky Method featuring the legendary talents of Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin at the TCA Winter Press Tour this week, producer Chuck Lorre opened up about his feelings regarding the impending finale of his biggest hit, The Big Bang Theory. He expressed, "It’s a loss, you know. It’s been 12 years of family and friends in a way. That’s an extraordinary thing to have those relationships last that long in this fast-paced business. Saying goodbye is going to be incredibly tough."

Big Bang's Monumental Legacy

Let’s not forget, though, what a remarkable achievement it is for everyone involved in Big Bang, the longest-running multi-camera series in television history. The show is getting its own special recognition — Stage 25, where it’s filmed, is being dedicated to the series on the Warner Bros lot. Chuck Lorre, alongside fellow producers Steven Moldero, Steve Holland, and Bill Prady, released a statement saying, “For 12 years and almost 300 episodes, The Big Bang Theory called Stage 25 its home. We’re truly honored that the series can now become part of the history of this legendary studio, which has been home to so many incredible films and television shows.”

Constructed back in 1935, Stage 25 has been home to some iconic productions like Casablanca, Giant, Bonnie and Clyde, and Blade Runner, as well as TV series such as Maverick, V, and What I Like About You. This is only the fifth time in the history of the Warner Bros Studios that a soundstage has been officially named instead of numbered. In 2004, Stage 24 was named “The Friends Stage”; in 2009, Stage 11 became “The ER Stage”; in 2015, Stage 1 was renamed “The Ellen Stage” to celebrate 2,000 episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show; and also in 2015, Stage 26 was dedicated as “The Two and a Half Men Stage,” honoring another successful Chuck Lorre comedy.

Kaley Cuoco Shares Her Sentiments

Kaley Cuoco, never one to shy away from expressing her passion for the show, took to Instagram to share her excitement about the stage naming. At TCA, she also mentioned that the one thing she wants to take home when the show wraps is a poster from the apartment Penny shares with Leonard — it’s a picture of two robots fighting. She said, "It’s something that I adore so much, and I’ve been looking at it for 12 years. It’s always in my eye line from where I sit in the living room set, so I’m thrilled to put it in my own living room so I can see it forever. A lot of people want different things, but I’ve already marked that one. It may look random and weird, but it’s incredibly special to me."
