At 62, Bo Derek shared some behind-the-scenes insights into her relationship with her partner, John Corbett, 57, revealing their dates are anything but typical.
Traveling Lovebirds: A World of Romance
“My gosh, we don’t do typical,” Bo told Us Weekly during the premiere of Sharkwater Extinction in Los Angeles on January 31, 2019. She continued, “We’re always on the move, so our date nights are often spent meeting up in some far-off place. Home is our sanctuary, where we recharge. But we travel so much that our adventures become the backdrop for our romance.”
London Love: A Recent Romantic Getaway
Just back from a whirlwind trip to London, Bo opened up about their latest escapade. “I just returned from London,” she revealed. “John’s working on a movie there, and every night feels like a date night when you're in a foreign city. London was absolutely breathtaking.” The couple didn’t waste any time making unforgettable memories. “One night we went to see Hamilton in London of all places! Believe it or not, I never managed to catch the show in New York,” Bo shared with a smile. While they’ve traveled extensively, Bo admits it’s hard to pick a favorite destination. “Some places are definitely better than others, but London truly stood out,” she added.

The globetrotting duo has no plans to slow down anytime soon. “I’m heading to Misool for a dive trip, and I’ll be doing an open-water swim in Greece in September,” Bo revealed. She began dating John in 2002, four years after the passing of her late husband, John Derek. Despite their busy schedules, the couple finds joy in exploring the world together.
Home Sweet Home: The Ultimate Retreat
While they cherish their travels, Bo and John have made it clear that home is their ultimate retreat. “We both travel so much that, for us, our favorite vacation spot is home,” Bo confessed at the An Evening With WildAid gala in Beverly Hills. “That’s where the real romance happens.”
