That’s a quote from Chekhov, by the way. She went on to say, “I’d love to drop dead on stage while taking a bow. Family Ties and Love That Lasts
Blythe has faced her share of challenges, but her resilience is unmatched. After losing her beloved husband, Bruce Paltrow, in 2002, she found strength in her work and her family. “I never remarried because I had such an amazing husband,” she shared. “Romance isn’t a part of my life now, but my grandchildren fill my heart.” Now, here’s the fun part—Blythe admits she totally spoils her grandkids. “They have all the rules they need at home, so I get to be Auntie Mame. I may not always be the coolest, but I try my best!” Sounds like she’s got the right balance of fun and love for those little ones.

Blythe believes that vitality comes from staying engaged with the world around you. “Sitting around and not caring is the worst thing you can do. It’s so important to stay involved and curious,” she explained. Clearly, this mindset has kept her going strong for decades. And her daughter, Gwyneth Paltrow, seems to be taking a page from her mom’s book. The 46-year-old entrepreneur is living her best life with her husband, Brad Falchuk. “It’s fantastic. I think we’re better equipped to choose our life partners when we’re halfway through life,” Gwyneth told the Wall Street Journal. “For me, it’s been a process, but I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone who’s truly a partner.”
