After more than five decades of making music together, Fleetwood Mac has become a legendary name in the world of rock 'n' roll. But these days, one question keeps coming up for the band: What exactly happened with their former guitarist and singer, Lindsey Buckingham, and why was he let go? “Saying we weren’t happy doesn’t quite capture the gravity of the situation,” said Mick Fleetwood, the group’s iconic drummer, in an interview with the NY Post. “Happy sounds almost too light of a word to use. It was far from a pleasant dynamic for everyone involved.” The tension eventually led to Lindsey suing the band, a legal battle that was quietly resolved outside of court. But Mick, now 71, admits it wasn’t as simple as it might seem on the surface. “It was a major turning point in the band’s history, and it affected everyone deeply,” he explained.
