Timothy Olyphant, the talented actor behind so many unforgettable performances, took a moment to reflect on Luke Perry’s impact during the New York City premiere of his animated film, Missing Link. At 50 years old, Timothy didn’t hold back when talking to Variety about the man who left such a lasting impression on everyone who met him. “What a truly remarkable guy,” Timothy said. “Just a genuinely lovely person. I’m going to miss him at that premiere. Heck, I’m going to miss him anyway.”

Working Together on a Dream Project

Timothy recalled their time together on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, describing it as a “dream come true.” He joked about how he and Luke both felt like they’d snuck their way into something incredible. “We just met on the film, but the two of us kept looking at each other like, ‘How did we get here? Who let us in?’” Timothy laughed. “There were so many moments where we’d glance at each other with this unspoken understanding: ‘Not bad, right? Here we are.’”

A Gentleman and a True Professional

Timothy admitted that while they weren’t particularly close during filming, Luke left an indelible mark on him. “I’ve never met anyone who’s said a bad word about the guy, and that’s exactly what my experience was like,” Timothy shared. “He was the best kind of actor—no nonsense, all about the craft. He showed up early, got the job done, and we spent our downtime talking about our families and just enjoying the work. He was a genuinely good guy, and I’ll never forget him.”
